When I heard the quote “We are all made of the stuff of stars” by Carl Sagan, it really resonated with me, because I fucking love science. It’s amazing to me that the same little tiny building blocks that make up my soft squishy body also make up the massive fire balls in the sky. I tried to emulate this concept in my work a lot, but nothing ever seems to really capture the feeling of being so insignificant and so SIGNIFICANT at the same time.

I used to doodle on little notebook covers and then either gift them to friends or sell them at shows. I stopped because its not an ideal way to effectively make money… but people love notebooks, so I’m hoping to start a line of stationary eventually. I have lots of ideas. :)

So there’s this annual Mural Painting festival I do every year, and this was one of the last giant 8ft x 8ft panels I did. Since then i’ve done smaller ones, because they are really tough to finish in just two days, in the hot summer sun. This one was a collab with Jake Mensinger, so at least we had two sets of hands working on it to try and finish in just 2 days. It’s not my favorite because I’d liked to have spent more time on it…  but I liked the concept.

To be real, I dropped my tumblr a long time ago because I just didn’t have the time to spend on it. My life got too adult (re: stressful jobs, stressful roommates, stress, and well, stress.) But lately I’ve been trying to get back to some stuff I use to love, and tumblr was one of those things.

Happy Friday my loves! I have exciting news! I am getting my things together to start my own twitch tv channel! I’ll be live streaming as I work on traditional paintings for shows and festivals.

I have had some really fun experiences hanging out with the creative kids who are already on twitch, and thought I’d try my hand at it. Last night I had the honor of being a special guest on Andrew Thompson’s channel and talk about some of my art.

I’m waiting on cameras and other goodies to come in the mail…. so stay tuned for more info on my streaming schedule and twitch debut!
